Can you elborate? The few reviews I've read didn't indicate anything major,
so long as the 975X is recent enough...
I was looking at the Asus P5W DH Deluxe...none of the 965 boards look worth
a damn.
Needs:
3+ "legacy" PCI
2+ PATA onboard
6+ SATA onboard
To Intel: FU for not putting a PATA controller in the ICH8R.
I'm just itching for a new toy. I honestly haven't decided if I want to do a
platform upgrade at this point, or get a shiny new HDTV. The current state
of motherboards for Core2 make me lean towards the TV...

No its a sucky combo. While you get some of the benefit not nearly all and

Word is that the C2 stepping of the P965 chipset with the Conroe fixes
won't be out until 9-09 or so.. September is quite a ways off.
Should we buy 975X or just wait for September before we update to Core2
Duo? :)
