Remember, most of these you buy in the box do NOT support Conroe:

So, you need to get one, have another 775 chip around to flash the BIOS to
upgrade it to get it to POST with Conroe.

Also, be reminded that this board uses a chipset.  Core2 support is still
shitty, despite the new BIOS.

It's also the 975 chipset, so no native DDR2-800 support.. 

A lot of places are dropping this board because of cost for performance and
"eh" Core2 support, but if you need it, they have a PDF explaining how to do
it.

I have a PCI-X RAID card that is currently running in a standard PCI slot on
a normal consumer mobo.  I know that I am not taking advantage of its full
capabilities but I didn't want to blow a lot of money on the older chipsets
knowing that I would want Core2 Duo when it came out.

Now that is has been announced, are there any mobos supporting it with PCI-X
slots that we know of?  Or will I have to wait just a bit longer...
