As would pure-IR floodlights. You don't see 'em on
come on but bright as 
day on a camera. Could even leave them on all night &
rely on cam 
software's motion detection to start recoding.

I had a few IP/Ethernet DLinks that were OK. A CMOS
based DCS900 which 
need a host PC to doing motion sensing & recording.
The other a CCD 
based (32xx something) that was intended as a video
conferencing cam so 
it has on-board motion sensing, 2-way audio, & FTP
upload capability.
