I pulled out the failed drive, it's a wd 200jb-32eva0 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Klein Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2006 6:55 PM To: 'The Hardware List' Subject: RE: [H] Hard Drive Problems
I used a voltmeter, and we have a power supply tester at work. I connected it for a day...with no problems. Plus it's not exhibiting any symptoms of a failing power supply. The IDE drive is now officially dead. I haven't pulled it yet so I don't have the serial number. I ended up ordering a replacement 320 gig drive....I'll bring the bad IDE into work and run some tests there. If it's bad I'll wipe it and toss it. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Thane Sherrington Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 7:38 PM To: The Hardware List Subject: RE: [H] Hard Drive Problems At 07:27 PM 18/10/2006, Chris Klein wrote: >Hi Tim, > >Power supply should be fine...I've checked it twice and no problems.
