I believe it's 400 Mhz, and it's corsair value select ram that's in there now...so nothing fast.
I don't know what revision the board is itself. I have bios revision 1015. I'd be happy just running 2 gigs right now. I had Xp x64 on here but I got too frustrated with certain devices, and the 32 bit version actually felt a little snappier when I went back to it. What speed memory and BIOS rev? I've got that same board running a different opteron running on that board using 4gig with xp64.... On my old AMD chip I couldn't get more than 1 gig(2x512) to work at the full bus speed. I don't remember what speed it was, but it was on the same board (ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe). My board supports 4 gigs, and I currently have 1 gig (2x512) installed. I need to bump it up to at least 2 gigs. Am I going to have a problem with the memory controller in the Opteron? I have an Opteron 165. I don't know which die I have at this point. Thanks, Chris
