Talking isn't the problem, using the menus (screen being on and backlit) or having Bluetooth on is a killer though. Colour screens can easily use more power than the radio transmitter/receiver. Those figures are from the SonyEricsson site, so you can probably take them with a pinch of salt....just like I would doubt you'll ever get 5 hours from the iPhone. So sure it is a longer *quoted* talk and standby time than other, but it certainly isn't anything special compared to it's competitors.
