One more Mac question - I have the free HP Photosmart printer attached to my XP machine and shared over the LAN. I figured out how to connect to it with the MacBook but the printer model doesn't appear on the list. Normally with a PC you can just pull the drivers off the install CD. Can I do something similar for the MacBook?

Could be it's doing SMB signing. I found a machine policy hack through google search. -----Original Message----- From: "Brian Weeden" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2007 13:44:05 To:"Joe User" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "The Hardware List" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Re[2]: [H] Apple workgroup name We just bought our first Mac today (a MacBook for my wife) and I'm trying to figure out why it can't see shares from a WinXP machine on the LAN. Could it be that they are ntfs?
