I am having a similar problem with XP 64. The BIOS sees the drive but Windows
didn't. Someone told me about this link. I ran it & it restored the drive
but it's only seen as a reader & not a writer. I'm trying to work that out now.

If anyone has any suggestions of how to get XP64 to see the drive correctly,
please suggest away!!
