DING. The Collective wins another one!!!
It was the deudora.ini file. Appears that this file specs actual (default)
location, and, when I moved my "EudoraPro" directory to E: (created a new
blank "EudoraPro" directory on D:-believed I would have to do a full new
install!) this deudora.ini file just recreated a new default eudora on D:
again w/o my email. Once I put all back on D: and updated my links, all is
back to normal using just a desktop shortcut to D:\EudoraPro\eudora.exe.
Thane,
Thankyou for your link pointers. However, I no longer have the
"c:\eudora.tks" link. I also no longer have the Program Files directory
for Qualcomm/Eudora. I did not reinstall Eudora from scratch. Did not
want to harm the old email, mailboxes, and address book. Might have been
OK, but was leery of a reinstall of Eudora. My bad. I do now understand
what you sent. I just do not have the "Qualcomm" front end stuff at the
moment. I will research this further today and see if I can reinstall
fully w/o killing my existing settings, email, mailboxes and addy book.
Best,
Duncan

that is clearer, you will need to edit the deudora.ini file to point to
the new drive letter, should be in the eudora folder. eudora.ini should be
OK but I would look at that also.
