Hi, Fred. Have you checked in the Device Mangeler under U. S. B. Controllers to see how many controller channels you have available and how the bandwidth is divvied up? That's probably a good place to start.
It would be helpful to know how many USB1/USB2 channels the mobo has to begin with. Low-bandwidth stuff like keyboards and mice can all be lumped together on one USB channel without running out of bandwidth. USB1? USB2? Mixture of both? Using a USB hub anywhere? Remember, USB is a tiered-star topology and eventually one wire pair has to support the bandwidth needs of all the devices in the chain back to the controller channel. Other stuff like video cams, USB to IEEE adapters or USB to wireless adapters may overtax a single USB controller if paired together. _jim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of FORC5 Sent: Saturday, May 05, 2007 4:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [H] Error message ?
