I use nothing but Taiyo-Yudens for my DVD-R. I have had really good luck with those Riteks that I linked but they are just slow.

Verbatim DVR+R DLs - the older batches are officially rated at 2.4x but burn just fine up to 4x (6x?) in good writers. The this is raised to 4x (unofficial 8x) in the newer batches. Are Riteks alright nowadays? I got burned by a couple of crappy cakeboxes of G04s awhile back (bought them when Ritek's QC was supposedly going downhill) and the majority of discs from that batch have trouble being read now. Personally, I stick to Verbatim DVD+R and DVD+R DLs, and Taiyo-Yudens for DVD-Rs. HTH -- JW
