Actually I solved the problem of the hidden partition. I used Acronis
Disk Director to add my back up partition and it gave me no problems
. Then I use Drive Image to back up and because Acronis had written
the MBR this time it worked... I think.
I got the CD working... but for how long I don't know. I cleaned off
all the contact points of the plug in and then I soaked a Qtip in 99%
Alcohol and let it soak the lens clean. Now it works.
I would still like to have the docs for the future.
