In looking at switches none have mentioned anything about Jumbo

Do I have to have the correct Gigabit ethernet adapters to support
Jumbo as well? One of my NAS's is a Buffalo Terastation Pro which
already has Gigabit ethernet and supports Jumbo Frames. I would
need adapters for the other NAS (currently has 10/100) and the

How can I tell if it supports Jumbo frames or is this a matter of

Your individual NICs will have to support Jumbo Frames, and you can
tell in the adaptor settings. I have a SMC 4 port rack mount GB
Switch that supports Jumbo frames. It is around a hundred bucks, and
I like it. However, when I set the NICs up for Jumbo frames I see no
difference in transfer rates. It may be better but I don't see any difference.
