OS X (which is also the start of my Apple knowledge) has 'finder' it's
the Windows Explorer =. Drag and drop is alive and well on OS X...

There is no native compression in OS X. Allume software makes some -
Stuffit.... etc - you have to use third party stuff probably.

Just mess around with it - you'll figure it out. Help works great too
not like Windows help. I know this is all OS X based but might get you
in the right direction.
