I always assumed it meant "internet" - at least it was during the big
internet boom that the "i" moniker started to become popular.

Why does everything begin with the letter "i"?  I equate the letter 
"i" with Intel not Apple. Shouldn't all the Apple stuff begin with an 
"a"? Then it would be an aPod & the aTouch version. Does any of the
