I have a strange file that got installed on my root drive yesterday. I suspect it
was created just by viewing the BellSouth "install CD. The file is:
c:\BellsouthIW.re~ 6124KB 10-16-07 10:16
This file is viewable in wordpad and appears to be a simple text file.
It also appears to be a complete scan of the registry on the PC I read
the "install" CD on.
Should I be concerned?

I got my xdsl kit. The Westell 6100 modem is really tiny! Can they make
these things any smaller? LOL!

I rcvd no details, instructions, docs, details, etc. in the kit. I expected this.
Did get the "install" CD. I have looked at its' files. Sheesh! What a bunch
of stuff! But I suppose it has to cover many bases and user configs. I spent
most of yesterday exploring the CD trying to figure out what it does and/or
might do when launched. I suspect not being a programmer limits my
abilities to determine much.

I have not launched the CD and allowed it to do its' thing yet simply because
I am concerned about how it will modify the PC I use for the "setup." Am I
being more cautious than necessary?
