Although, I fear all of this may be way too "geeky" for me ATM.
I've known that this magic has worked for the last so many years.
Now, the need to drill down and record the magic is a new experience.
WindShark seems to be what Brother wants to play with. OK. I'll play
their game.
The best news is that I fixed it! Could be my error.........
Once I told the router to "allow" the printer the log entries stopped.
Duh, another Pilot Error problem...............
but I have not told Brother this yet...............I am hoping that they
sneak up
on this one......I am ready for the whack up side my head!
Now, as soon as I (we) get this business working, you may never hear
from me again.............not! LOL!

The main advantage it has over other sniffers is that its built ontop of
netpdl which is xml based protocol definitions and dissectors. This is
good if you want to create your own protocol dissector or modify
existing ones.
