Thanks. Tried the "overnite zero trons." The only positive sign this AM was
that the PC started post, did not find the hd, but popped into a deep bios
screen for cpu speed.  With the kbd still dead, I could not move around in
the bios........... :)
The m/b has been demoted and I'm taking another spare PC apart for this
m/b's brother (another CUBX).  Now, I'll have a spare P3-600E and some
more 128MB dimms.
It's all good.  Since we are again inside our "burn" season, I'll schedule
another Viking funeral........... LOL!
Or, if someone else wishes to try and play with an Asus CUBX (circa 2000),
I'll be happy to ship it!

I don't know why, but I've had a few MB with minor problems respond to
being completely powered of for a day or so.  YMMV  :)

Thanks; corrected. This machine has always had problems keeping time and
time zone settings. Maybe i should leave it powerless for a day or so, ;)
