For those of you who surf with third-party cookies disabled to try and
minimize the ways people can collect personal info there is a pretty
disturbing new method being used by Paypal and Doubleclick to do this.
It completely gets around any sort of cookie blocking or filtering.
Full details are in Episode 119 of Security Now. It starts with about
a 20 min discussion of how cookies work and then the stuff about what
Paypal is doing:

The page also has a transcript for those that want to skim and not listen.

I think Steve brings up a good point at the end that you might not be
any better using Google Checkout because Google is going to own
Doubleclick and who knows what sort of relationship they will have.
But I personally would rather use Google Checkout or Paypal instead of
giving every site I make one-time purchases at my credit card info and
all my details.
