Thane,
Yes, the winsock could be dorked up, but the winsock is not used with V3 nod32 A/V. V3.0 now uses its' own internal proxy server to do all its' http/pop3 checking. It has been causing many folks fits. Yes, in WinXP, v2.7 nod32 did sometimes mess with the winsock. There are many suggestions to do a winsock reset from the cmd prompt window. I have never seen the glitch though.
Best,
Duncan

nod32 running on xp pro, server is vista ultimate. Been fussing with this today. only using windows fw. nod is AV only but does have some net filtering. As of yet unable to make it go. Final answer would be to just uninstall it and see what's up I guess.

I've never seen NOD32 block network access, and I'm using both 2.7 and 3 here in the shop. I'd fix the Winsock and see if that has any effect.
