Yes, the winsock could be dorked up, but the winsock is not used with V3
nod32 A/V. V3.0 now uses its' own internal proxy server to do all its'
http/pop3 checking. It has been causing many folks fits.
Yes, in WinXP, v2.7 nod32 did sometimes mess with the winsock. There are
many suggestions to do a winsock reset from the cmd prompt window. I have
never seen the glitch though.

I've never seen NOD32 block network access, and I'm using both 2.7 and 3
here in the shop. I'd fix the Winsock and see if that has any effect.
