This week I took my 24/7 PC apart, gave it a good cleaning, and reassembled it. A year or two ago I bought a couple of PC cathode lights on Ebay to illuminate under a media shelf... but I never used them.

I decided to put them in this PC to help me see inside when I was checking for loose cables or other problem during start up test runs. It worked out great, and then I thought, why not just leave them in there so if I need to pop the case side off and check something.

I am using a PCP&C 510 which will handle everything in there, and more. I don't think they pull much power, in terms of electric bill... they are cool to the touch. I could put a switch on the back but that would be a hassle. So does anyone think it is risky, or pulls a lot of power leaving them in there running 24/7?

thanks
