[H] password protected

[Winterlight]

I have a Windows web site so I can not use HT Access. I want to be 
able to protect a few documents / pages with a password. This is just 
to stop the casual passerby, not protect against a 
sophisticated  attack. I assume there is a simple way to do this. Can 
somebody point me in the right direction.
