Trying to trouble shoot some weird issues with my HTPC (random reboots on playback of DVD/BluRay, occasional freezes) so I installed SpeedFan to see what was going on with the system temps.
The motherboard is using an IT8718F chipset to provide this info and in SpeedFan I have 5 temps: Temp 1, Temp 2, Temp 3, HD0, and Core. HD0 is my RAID array (with the Temp being passed by the Areca RAID card) and Core is the CPU. All those look fine. Temp 1 and Temp 3 are 97F and104F at idle, respectively but Temp 2 shows 194F. That's gotta be wrong right? Any idea what that is reading? ---- Brian
