It happens to everything. My brother has a PCP&C Silencer 750 that died
within 2 weeks of purchase. The replacement (refurbished, no less) came back
all scratched to hell, too. I don't blame them for the failure--bad units
are inevitable even by the best manufacturers--the replacement coming back
looking like hell is pretty pathetic.

It's very possible that it is bad memory, though I'd suspect the motherboard
first. You should also note that this crap requires 2.2v to run at the
specified timings of 4-4-4-12. Sorry, I don't much care for any memory that
is rated at anything other than JEDEC standards. It's possible that your
board is reading the timings, but not setting the proper voltage or
something.
