I haven't done any overclocking since the Celeron 300 days. However,
I have a five year old dual Xeon 3.06 that I am playing around with.
It has a ASUS PC DL Deluxe board on it that is setup to hold steady
the PCI, and AGP BUS while increasing frequency from 133 to 175. I
increased the frequency to 140 which up'ed the CPU speed to
3.2Ghz and notice nothing bad. I do notice a little snapper
response, ... which surprises me. You wouldn't think I would notice
anything increasing it just 5 percent. Now I am going to up to 3.4
Ghz which is an 11 percent increase.
I want to be able to monitor temps and stability. The Asus 5 year
old motherboard monitoring utility won't install so what third party
software is best for watching temps? How can I best test for
stability and reliability?
Thanks
