Yes, I can be very thick; some might say stupid! This am I upgraded my new
test platform from w2k to winXPproSP3. The upgrade went so smooth, I
thought I'd done something wrong!
And, after ~37 winUpdates, I was able to finally install drivers for the
ATI Radeon R4350!
OK, I am convinced. I will now move to WinXPpro! I now have 12 months of
flawless service from my XP test machine and it is also as solid as a
brick! Now willing to give up W2KproSP4 except for my server. Can not
afford the new version yet...............next year!
Bottom line: the new toys in the new box are fully operational and running
as expected. Zero glitches; except for ATI wishing to load some driver for
HD Audio. Does this video card have an HD Audio section? (The P5Q3 is
already happily running its' Realtek HD Audio stuff.) Stuff for more reading.
