What is the rule with LCDs flat panels. Is it better to let them run all day, power down and start up through out the day... what is the best policy?
Back in the days of big glass CRTs the best energy policy, for the
best image and life of a monitor was no policy at all. It took 30
minutes of power to bring the image to full quality and letting it
power down just repeated this process. The rule was to turn your
monitor on in the morning and leave it on until you were ready to
shut it down for the day.
