That's the gotcha of explorer.exe "helper apps" or extensions, sometimes they crash a
leave you scratching your head!

XP SP3, nothing modified. When emptying the recycle bin, I get an
illegal operation and explorer restarts. Some of the icons in the
sys tray, most notably Internet Download Manager (IDM) disappear. It
happens infrequently and I did not examine the message the last time.
There's stuff on the web about Win95 & 98 for this, but not XP.
Any ideas?
