I did finally get the Samsung diagnostic utilities loaded on a CD-ROM
and ran it. It turns out that one of the Samsung Spinpoint 500 GB HD
was indeed having CRC errors like crazy...I don't think it was the one
the OS was installed on, but it sure caused major headaches.
I've got Windows 7 RC installed now. The reload is a major bear! What
are people using for AV on Win7RC? I have AVG on now.
