Hey guys, a while back I was trying to post about my MX1000 mouse problems (it never went through b/c I was unsubscribed temporarily) and I finally just talked to a Logitech tech and he said he thinks it's a BIOS issue on my computer (as a reminder, the problem was that when my computer comes back after I hibernate or lose power the mouse isn't working; it's plugged into the PS/2 port with a USB->PS/2 adapter to resolve some jumpiness issues that occur when I go direct with USB.)
So he's saying that what's happening is that my PS/2 ports are not being powered correctly after a power loss or restoring from hibernate (which sounded reasonable). I tried some searches but no joy. Anyone who's messed with this know what to look for in my BIOS as I checked and didn't see a setting about powering PS/2 ports on or off, just enabling them.just trying to figure out what the issue is. Oh fwiw, the keyboard (also PS/2) does work fine though so maybe that's not it and it's just the mouse and I need to get a new one. *shrug* Figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks! BINO
