Well, if you don't already have some FTP space buy a domain from Godaddy for 8-10 bucks, you will get a free 10GB FTP and web site.Upload your mpg, iso or whatever, and then change the extension to a zip. Then send her the link, tell her to click on the link which, as a zip, will automatically download. When it finishes downloading tell her to change the extension back to what it should be.

Then remove the ftp file from your site. Godaddy gets nervous about ftp files. A mpg file is fine, no matter how large. Their rule is that the file must be viewable in a web page. If they have a problem with a file or site they send you a five day warning.

I've got a video currently on a DVD that I need to get to a colleague of
mine in Europe. It's a preview of a documentary that we are doing for work
and she needs to review it (so no, I'm not pirating anything). I can mail
it, but that's going to take quite a bit of time. I've already ripped it
and recompressed it down to about a GB, so now the question is how best to
get her the file. She's not very computer savvy so something like a
multi-part rar isn't going to work. I have used Google video for this in
the past but they have shut down. Youtube is no good because of the limit
on length.

Maybe something like rapidshare? Suggestions?
