I use WXPpro sp3.
I routinely defrag my drives each month.
I accept that the Windows defrag logic is "whatever."
Whatever....... LOL!

I notice that when I go:
/My Computer/"pick-a-drive"/properties/Disk Cleanup button/
I see an option to "Compress Old Files" check box.

What does this selection do?

What does MS consider an "OLD file"??

Should I use it?

What might I do if I use it?

I do have lots of "Old" files on several machines.
Thank you.
Best,
Duncan
