FWIW: Redesign "the plan..."
I brought my phone lines into the house and made distribution from
phone junction boxes in my basement.
(Pick a "better spot?" in your crawl space?)

I figured it was stupid to run ALL the wires to the outside,
hidden in the bushes  (buried in the snow)......
