Well, one of those Canon Pixma models is highly rated, though I cannot remember which. I considered getting one myself. I don't print many pics, though, so I went with the Espon. I saved a lot of room by losing the scanner and I got two ports back since I don't need usb on both printer and scanner. And one less powerbrick.

Finally got my head around this. They were actually looking for key 1, I was mistaking the number of bits for the number of characters. Of course, after I got the printer to recognize the network, the Canon software absolutely refused to find the printer and as such, refused to install the drivers. I added the printer through Win7 which downloaded the drivers and all is now working. Some minor glitches to figure out, since it is an All-in-One, the scanner seems to want to scan to pdf only (probably a setting) and there's no obvious way to narrow the scan down below a full sheet. First impressions are that I got a $100 machine, nothing more....

Hmm....I just installed in Epson Workforce 600 over the weekend. I gave it the 64 digit key that I use for any device that uses my wireless network. Setup was a breeze, too.

Maybe those 4-key allow you to run multiple wireless routers at the same time, each with different SSIDs. That's just a guess on my part, though.

I just bought a canon pixma MP560 and I'm trying to use it as a
wireless printer. The setup is a little awkward, but the barely there
manual says that I have to input (one character at a time on a wheel!)
the WEP key. I'm not sure what they want as I access the router
(WRT150N, Linksys) and it actually has 4 keys (Key 1, Key 2, etc). In
short, what is the WEP key that they are looking for? And let's not
start a discussion just yet on how WEP is not great security. I'd
like to get things running....;-)

Thanks...Steve
