[H] XP validation

I am working with a old PC. I am performing a clean install of a new 
retail Windows XP PRO SP2. I had to do online validation before I 
could perform online updates. Then I installed SP3 but after the 
reboot  Windows won't load... it just reboots. I have figured out 
why, it has to do with a incorrect BIOS setup during install that was 
compounded when SP3 overwrote the MBR.  I have fixed the problem but 
the install is screwed up, and now won't load.

What I would like to do is wipe the drive and start over, but if I do 
that what will happen with the validation.... will I be able to 
validate on line again? Thanks.
