I have a photo that I want to take to Kinkos and have a 3 foot by 2
foot print made. The original photo was taken with my Cannon at 8
megapixles and came out at 4.16 MB at 3264 X 2449 .I then edited it
to bring the subjects closer together and take out a few unwanted
parts. That ended up as a tif file = 1766 X 1226 at 6.19 MB. Finally
I resized it to 24.5 inches to 36.5 inches, and I increased the dpi
from 96 to 600dpi at 228MB ready to print. Have I done the right
thing here with the dpi... increase it like that prior to large
printing? Anybody have any experience with this? thanks.
