Your world I knew. Yes. NAS is quick on the GBit wired LAN. Can not compare with previous 10/100 wired LAN. GBit upgrade was an eye-opener for me.

NAS transfers are very fast that way...  :)

But I use wireless for the MacBook Pro laptop and the Xbox 360 in the living 
room where I don't have any ethernet cables..

The basic question is about the use of WIFI....... :)
