I heard a 15 minute interview yesterday that indicates that IPv6 is to be implemented some time in 2011. I've known that IPv6 has been in the works for quite a while.
I've seen some IPv6 addresses. They look to be hexidecimal based.
Somehow I got the impression that it would be transparent to me and my home LAN.
Perhaps my bad!
Now, I'm beginning to wonder what the future of IPv6 may require me to do or update.

Am I looking at f/w updates to my router?
Am I looking at f/w updates to my switches?
Am I looking at driver updates for onboard NIC logic?
Am I looking at driver updates for add-on NIC cards?

Is anyone in the collective really up on the IPv6 business and pending roll-out?
Best,
Duncan
