If anyone has a Kindle Fire and want a quick upgrade to the Nexus interface, I've got it running on mine. I now have a Nexus 7 (Love it -- wife uses it all the time) and a Kindle Fire running Jelly bean and the Nexus interface.
Reviews of upgrading the Fire: The nexus interface is exactly the same on the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire with Hashcodes package Everything works that I have tried (No issues with wireless, storage, etc). It is slower than the Nexus 7 (This is expected, the hardware is older, slower processor, etc) but plays Netflix and all of the games I have tried perfectly fine. The User Interface feels Sluggish, where on the Nexus it really does zip along and feel quite snappy. The Kindle doesn't have GPS, it doesn't have a camera, it doesn't have a MIC. In general: If you have a Kindle fire, or can get a Kindle Fire for less than $100, it is likely worth going that route and rooting/upgrading it manually vs paying $200 for a Nexus 7. I am really starting to see some maturity in the Android Tablet space with Jelly Bean. Of note: If you buy a Nexus 7 you get $25 play store credit. On top of this (And it works for any google account) if you add a Credit Card to a google account, you get $25 worth of store credit. With the Nexus it's a total of $50, but you do get $25 with the Kindle if it's a new credit card and a google account you haven't added a card to previously. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765288
