yes, blank and comes back after a power off/on without a reboot.
may be a defect but I am going to try the HDMI cable and see if that helps

cable is display port. I have to pull the power off the monitor and

Any ideas appreciated. Video card is a GTX 680. DM just shows
generic display driver installed.
