I use 2 in my PC. I have one connected to my 2008 server domain. I use the
2nd one in a VMware virtual server domain. This way I can have 2 separate
domains running at the same time on the same machines.

I used a PC with multiple NICs as a router as well... but back in the
nineties before inexpensive quality routers were readily available.
