I have a PC with a ASUS Maximum II Formula board. The OS = Windows 7 Pro is on a 75GB Raptor. The Asus has something called Speeding HDD which is available on two special SATA II ports. This appears to have BIOS setting that allows for Normal single SATA ....RAID 0 ... or simple Mirroring.

I have an identical 75GB Raptor that I would like to use with the existing Raptor to double the OS's hard drive size and maybe speed it up a bit. I use Acronis 10 to image the Raptor regularly. Can I image the single raptor, install the second raptor and enable RAID 0 which will combine the two hard drives, and then restore the image to the combined raptors.

Does hardware RAID 0 allow for this, and will Acronis treat the RAID 0 raptors as a single drive?
thanks
