Definitely an opinion--that board won't work. :)

The 4930k will use socket LGA2011, which will require an X79 motherboard,
not Z77.

My P9X79 WS has been great.

My brother tried two different X79 boards (ASRock, Gigabyte) and had
problems until switching to the Asus P9X79.

thanks but it didn't make a difference. I think I am going to buy another
better model on Ebay which should let me know for sure if it is the device
or my network. What this really needs is a hardware reset button in place of
the software reset. I think if it had that I could get it working again.

BTW Greg, any opinion a ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131821 for my
upcoming 4930k build?
