Have a 3TB disk I installed in my Win7 box. Planned to backup a bunch of stuff & pull the drive for safe keeping. I used GPT as it has the 3TB support. I pulled drive then put it on a SATA to USB 3 cable to read the drive. Win7 acted like it never saw it. I opened disk management & it asked me if I wanted MBR or GPT... I picked GPT & now it wants to format the drive... WTF did I do?! GPT is foreign to me & Google searching is making me panic with results! I stopped after selecting GPT, again - I did not format...
