The long road to replace my OB's desktop PC is over! YEA! I do so
appreciate all of your
suggestions, experiences, opinions. Now he and I wait for the Big Brown
Truck to deliver it to
him. Then phase 2 of this 'upgrade' commences. He does have a copy of
the book,
"Windows 8.1 for Dummies,"
as do I. But I expect I will still be called upon to share queries from
him to the Collective
for some period of time. Both of us will get wiser together!
Perhaps his new neighborhood contact can help wise him up a bit
quicker.....too......:)
Please accept my heartfelt gratitude to all of the Collective for your
patience these past 3 weeks.

Thank you for your help on technical questions and for being a great
sounding board. I'll give you a few weeks rest and then we can start
figuring out what laptop to buy.......NOT I have already found the one
I want, and I will probably bend plastic on it right after I get the
desktop up and running.
