Can you give us the output of the following commands (in a terminal
window). I have two options, one will go to your screen (console), the
other to a text file that you could move with a USB Stick and copy/paste
from.
Console output:
lspci
lspci -vv
lsusb
dmesg
cat /proc/cpuinfo
free -m
uname -a
lsmod
iwconfig
Redirected output (will be in your home directory and called hwglinux.txt)
lspci >> ~/hwglinux.txt

protocols and encryption that I would be surprised if it was that. I

I wouldn't know where to go for other drivers.
