[H] web cam security software

I was able to acquire a six Panasonic Web enabled cameras for not 
much $... Real time full motion video... Pan tilt and digital zoom.. 
everything but night view... but very nice. I want to use them for 
security cameras in my home. There is lots of free software out there 
but the choices are more confusing then helpful. Anybody have 
something like this set up now? Can you recommend any particular 
software... or tips on setting this up. Thanks
