This sounds very promising and exactly like my problem-great find Josh...now to
just figure out how to get the cmd to run... 😝

Ok just did it and wow, yup! The 100% CPU immediately went down and the fans
have spun down and HALLELUJAH!!!

Sweet, SWEET silence! It is *exactly* like how he describes in his blog...

https://www.andrewmunsell.com/blog/oculus-rift-bug-power-plan-configuration/

...down to the graphs in TM and it being pegged flat at 100%, and then dropping
down as soon as the powercfg cmds were run! Pretty amazing to find a fix for a
problem that fits and works so well! And from back in 2016 too, no less!

The weird thing though is that I can't think of what it was that installed that
would modify my power settings to do this (unlike in his case)...guess I just
have to see if it happens again but at least I know how to deal with it now!

Thanks again so much Josh! Sweet, sweet, blessed silence!! 😊

                                BINO

Hmm this thread makes me think it's relevant...
