Don't kill yourself over it. There are news ones on Amazon for $40. I've been looking at this 1" stuff and it seems to be 1" type B or 1" type C based on the information on the tape.
I can't see us getting a machine to convert this stuff. I did find someplace offering $110 per reel to convert to digital. I'll have to see what marketing wants to do!
