With regards to Linux gaming, I'll tell you hwhat, I've got a Steamdeck,
the (Linux based) SteamOS they use runs Windows binaries through the Proton
translation shim and it's pretty astonishing how well it works a lot of the
time.

The caveat is that there are some things that it just _won't_ run, often
falling foul of anti-cheat measures (Destiny 2 is a big casualty there)
